Kids Club
In one of the poorest countries on earth, there are very many children. More than 50% of the population is under 15 years old. Large families with low income and little education among the adults pose a great challenge.
We see it as our opportunity to serve these families and children. Due to the great poverty, the daily worries about basic needs like food, the children are mostly left to their own devices after breastfeeding. By the age of 4 to 5, they are often responsible for their younger siblings. They don’t have a chance for proper upbringing and education.
With our “Kids-Club” we start where the families cannot fulfill their responsibilities for the children. The children experience that they are the center of attention, that we are reliably there for them, even if it is only once a week or in the bush villages even only once a month.
Undivided attention, a children’s service, Bible stories acted out as theater, songs sung, painting, crafts, fresh clothes, educational outreach – the list is long. An important and flourishing part of our work.
