Tanja Hock originally came to Madagascar in 2006 with the Swiss Helimission, saw the need and felt the call to support the people and alleviate their plight a little. Since then she has been living in Madagascar. Her two children Fanilo and Fifaliana also come from there.

So the medical work started very small.  The foundation of the association followed and for many years the project has been growing and has become a contact point for medical care for all those in need in and around the village of Ambovo.

For this great work, Tanja was awarded the Golden Woman’s Picture Award in 2018 and also won the associated reader’s award.

For many years the project has been growing and the number of lives treated and often saved!

Dear friends and supporters,

Helping makes happy! And we experience that here in Madagascar every day. Joy and sorrow are often close together and the difference between the two worlds I belong to can hardly be put into words. To see the grateful smiles of the people we treat, to know that our existence makes a huge difference, and to catch God in the act again and again when a baby is born. To see miracles, big and small, happen so often, that gives us, and especially me, the strength to give everything again every day. Thank you for giving and being there, because only together can we change the face of the world.

– your TANJA HOCK

Our goals

Madagascar – one of the most beautiful and yet at the same time one of the poorest countries on earth.

Poor medical care, an inadequate health care system, lack of infrastructure, poverty and poor hygienic conditions characterize the lives of the people. As a midwife, Tanja’s heart beats for the children, women and their families.

Our project goals are closely connected to this:
